Overlay flooring can be applied directly over any existing timber floor or sheet subfloor. For installation over concrete subfloors, overlay flooring may be direct fixed or laid on ply sheeting according to manufacturer guidelines. Depending on the manufacturer, overlay flooring is between 12mm and 14mm in thickness and available in widths of 83mm, 85mm, 130mm or 180mm. As well as conserving timber resources, overlay flooring is a major advantage when floor height is a concern. The range includes most Australian timber species and grades to give versatility of colour and feature for every application.
